Lucy J. Rogers is a writer, artist and researcher.

Lucy specialises in photography within contemporary art. She has presented her research in international contexts and been the recipient of numerous grants and awards for both her academic research and own photography practice.

Since 2017, Lucy has worked extensively with the archive of the photographer, Ursula Schulz-Dornburg and in May 2023, Lucy curated the exhibition, Ursula Schulz-Dornburg: Memoryscapes with the Large Glass gallery, London. In 2025, Lucy completed her PhD titled Latency in the Photographic Work of Ursula Schulz-Dornburg with CREAM (Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media) at the University of Westminster, where she was the recipient of a Techne (AHRC) scholarship.

Lucy holds a master’s in Photography Studies and Practice from the Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen, Germany and a bachelor’s in Fine Art from Byam School of Art, Central Saint Martins, London, UK.

From 2020 to 2025, Lucy was Research Associate at University of Westminster, where she is currently Visiting Lecturer in BA Photography. Since 2020, she is a contributor to the photography platform, C4 Journal.
